David Alexander is an award-winning producer, executive producer, and founder of Dark Monarch Films. Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, he has spent more than 15 years producing film, television, branded content, documentaries, and experiential campaigns for agencies, brands, production companies, and independent studios.

A self-taught filmmaker, David has built a career at the intersection of creative development and production execution, overseeing projects from concept through delivery. His experience spans narrative film, television, commercial advertising, post-production, and large-scale content initiatives for brands including Mercedes-Benz, Cash App, HBO, Vice Media, Champion, Create Music Group, Kerrygold, MARS Food, Jack Daniel’s, and Woodford Reserve.

In 2025, David produced the award-winning short film Where The Shadows Wait. The film has screened at more than 60 film festivals worldwide and earned over 30 awards. The project further established David’s commitment to developing elevated genre storytelling and filmmaker-driven original IP. As founder of Dark Monarch Films, David develops and produces original film and television projects, including the feature thriller PARTY and the anthology series Magnetic Drive. His work is driven by a passion for character-focused storytelling, strategic project development, and building productions that connect creative ambition with practical execution.

Today, David continues to work with brands, agencies, filmmakers, and studios while developing a growing slate of original narrative projects through Dark Monarch Films.
